This workshop will explore and understand the impacts of new smart technologies,(eg. smartphones, sensors);cloud computing technologies (eg. Dropbox),apps that are freely available and online social networks (social media):Facebook,Twitter,LinkedIn, Whatsapp,Snapchat on new enterprises forms and types of entrepreneurs within two specific demographic groups of society that are of immense global concern. Younger adults, also known as the lost generation are facing increased unemployment rates, which is leading to depression and increasing health care costs for economies. Due to increased human mortality rates, countries are seeking ways of ensuring that the older adults who are viewed as wealth creators and holders will remain active, and lead improved lifestyles so that there will be reduced health care costs. Globally, due to the immense potential offered by internet related devices, newer internet associated standards and better understanding of potential, smart technology new forms of enterprises like Uber and Airbnb have emerged and rapidly taken off, leading to social, economic and national transformations. Using qualitative research, data collected from interviews, visits to enterprises and Government organizations, we will understand the new forms of smart technologies enterprises, their sustainability and implications for society and organizations.The impact of this study is to form new links of academics based in developing and developed countries,a source of knowledge transfer and sharing within academics,industry and policymakers,publishing opportunities, career development and increased research opportunities for both Indonesia and UK. In the long term it will lead to sustainability of a successful and productive academic relationship begun in 2017 from a previous conference,IFIP 9.4, held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia and social welfare, professional development and economic development.
