Dr Watson is one the UK’s leading academics in franchising. She has undertaken research projects on behalf of the British Franchise Association, and has published widely in the area. Current research projects include an investigation of entrepreneurship and innovation within franchise organisations.
She joined the University of Hertfordshire in January 2013, as a Reader in Marketing. Previously she was Programme Director for the MA Business and Management courses at the London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London (from September 2008 – Dec 2012), with management responsibility for the teaching staff on the management MA courses, and programme and curriculum development. She was also Course Director for the College’s MA Strategic Fashion Marketing course, with responsibility for the management of the course, including the provision of pastoral and academic support for students, co-ordination and development of the teaching programme, and course recruitment.
Anna is a Visiting Professor at the University of Rennes and Beijing Normal University (Zhuhai campus).
