Overview

I am an interdisciplinary researcher, with primary interests based in international law. I completed my Phd in 2007 in international bio-law, applying TWAIL approaches to intellectual property rights and human rights. My research topics include global commons, commons governance, property rights, right to development, decolonising international law, common heritage of mankind, access to medicines, patents, traditional knowledge, cultural heritage, bioethics, arts as method, and security.

I am currently senior lecturer at the School of Law, and combine this with a role at the Vice-Chancellor's Office, leading interdisciplinary research at the University, championing research under the theme of 'Global Economy'.
