Dr Loic Coudron

Overview

Loic Coudron is a Research Fellow in the Microfluidics and Microengineering Research Group, part of the School of Engineering and Technology at the University of Hertfordshire. He is specialised in digital microfluidics (DMF), microtechnology, microengineering and microfabrication. During his past experience in industrial applied 3D microelectronics, he also developed a close interest in porous silicon, semiconductor integration, electrochemistry of silicon, semiconductor manufacturing and nanofabrication.

He is currently conducting research on microfluidics and digital microfluidics. His work aims in the realisation of integrated digital microfluidics systems for biodetection based on electrowetting-on-dielectric and magnetic microfluidics devices. Since 2012, he has led the development of DMF in the MMRG through a number of successful projects funded by dstl (UK MoD).
