Dr Samantha Rogers


Research interests

Dr Samantha Rogers is an Early Career Research Fellow in the Centre for Research in Public Health and Community Care. Dr Rogers has a long-standing interest in parent-child interactions and factors associated with weight gain and feeding behaviours. Dr Rogers’ research has investigated a variety of factors that are related to eating behaviours and weight gain in early life, such as breastfeeding, maternal sensitivity and cortisol metabolism. This research activity has resulted in six international peer-reviewed publications, with more in preparation. Dr Rogers is currently working on projects exploring atypical feeding practices and eating behaviours in infants born prematurely and children with genetic and neurological conditions.
