Commercial and public engagement

I believe passionately in engaging with public, practitioner and policy audiences and aim to ensure this is achieved through all my research projects. At local level I have taken part in Cafe Scientifique events and Welwyn and Hatfield health festivals for example, aimed at the general public. I convene 'FoodNet' a stakeholder network for any individual interested in research on 'food'. I have spoken at events such as the Scottish Government's 'children first' conference and the Food Ethics Council Business Forum to ensure messages about research are widely shared with a range of stakeholders.
