Researchers in the Learning, Memory and Thinking Group carry out innovative and internationally acknowledged research on issues regarding the acquisition, storage, retrieval and utilisation of information by the human cognitive system.
Professor Kvavilashvili, who leads the diverse memory and aging themes, is included in the 2015 edition of the Scientific American’s online book “Scientific American Innovators: Memory” as one of the major innovators among such other eminent researchers as William James, Herrman von Ebbinghaus, Sigmund Freud, Donald Hebb and Eric Kandel (she was also the only female innovator listed in the book).
