Organisation profile
Our research at the University of Hertfordshire centres on the rich intersection of mathematics and theoretical physics, with the main focus on algebra and geometry and their applications to physics.
The group, which is part of the Department of Physics, Astronomy and Mathematics, brings together researchers in the fields of:
- Strings, supergravity and geometry
- Scattering amplitudes in gauge theories
- Quantum groups and representation theory
- Classical and quantum integrable systems
- Semigroup theory
- Topological algebra
- General algebra and applications
