Dr.-Ing. AR Nasir is currently serving as Senior Lecturer in Project Management and Digital Construction at the Civil Engineering and Built Environment group, School of Physics, Engineering and Computer Science, University of Hertfordshire.
Dr. Nasir has his Ph.D. with great distinction from Bauhaus Universität Weimar-Germany in Construction Engineering and Management, where his research topic was aimed at enhancing the employability of the low-skilled construction workforce by utilizing the potential of BIM and VR.
Moreover, with four years of construction industry experience in the domain of Construction Contracts Management and targeted learning through the Bachelor of Law (LL.B. degree), Dr. Nasir possesses knowledge and skills related to the contractual and legal aspects of construction throughout the project life-cycle.
With more than 10 years in academia, Dr. Nasir has six-year average teaching feedback of 87%+, the best teacher award for 2021-22, 25+ MS research supervisions, 18 Journals and 10 conference publications, and 5+ R&D/consultancy grants. His research interests lie in the areas of Building Information Modeling (BIM), Virtual Design and Construction (VDC), Contracts Management, Construction Law, and Health and Safety Management.
