Personal profile

Overview

I am a Senior Lecturer and researcher in Exercise Physiology. My current research is focused on the immune response to exercise, with a PhD student looking at immunosurveillence in elite athletes. Furthermore, I am undertaking research into the potential barriers of modifying training for the menstrual cycle in coaches and athletes.

Previous research has looked at the endocrine and immune response to endurance training sessions. I am interested in salivary biomarkers and also have experience in analytical chemistry method development, particularly liquid chromatography mass spectrometry.
