Research interests
Overview
Andrea is an experienced clinician, researcher and educator, with a demonstrated history of working in Higher Education and the NHS. She is a Principal Lecturer and Postgraduate Programme Lead for the MSc Advanced Physiotherapy Programme in the School of Health and Social Work and also contributes to undergraduate teaching and assessment. Her clinical and research expertise is in the management of musculoskeletal, vestibular and orthopaedic conditions. Her methodological expertise are quantitative methodologies; reliability, survey and questionnaire design and evaluation of current clinical practice. She is an external examiner and successful research supervisor at MSc level.
She is actively involved with the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists with an Interest in Vestibular Rehabilitation (ACPIVR) as a committee member and a full member of (and past sub group committee member of) the Musculoskeletal Assocaition of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP). Andrea continues to work clinically treating a range of musculoskeletal conditions; specialising in foot and ankle dysfunction and vestibular rehabilitation.
