in particular in relation to food and eating practices. Recent work has focused on vulnerability and food security experienced by older people living in their own homes. I currently supervise a number of doctoral students.
Research methods include a range of qualitative approaches, including interview, focus groups, observation, questionnaires, visual methods including photographs and video.
Methodological approaches include: Participatory approaches and action research, grounded theory, case study and service evaluation. I am particularly interested in creative methods of creating research impact and engaging with non-academic audiences.
Angela is involved in the Athena SWAN work for the School of Health and Social Work. The School has recently gained a Silver award for its work on gender representation.
