Dr. Burhan Saeed is a senior lecturer in Aerospace Engineering with a diverse range of teaching and research interests. His teaching portfolio encompasses aerodynamics, aircraft design, mechanical concepts, structures, and thermo-fluids, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of aerospace engineering principles.

Prior to joining the University of Hertfordshire, Dr. Saeed has contributed his expertise to several higher education institutions, including Imperial College London, University of Portsmouth, Queen's University Belfast, and Brunel University London. His rich academic background has equipped him with a wealth of knowledge and experience in aerospace engineering education.

Dr. Saeed earned his PhD from the College of Engineering, Design and Physical Sciences at Brunel University London, focusing on advanced topics in aerospace engineering. He also holds an MSc from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Bristol and a BEng from the Department of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Manchester, laying a solid foundation for his academic journey.

In addition to his teaching endeavors, Dr. Saeed is actively engaged in cutting-edge research spanning various areas of aerospace engineering. His research interests include aircraft design, flying cars, high-lift devices, hybrid propulsion systems for sustainable aviation, and Vertical Takeoff and Landing (VTOL) aircraft. Through his research initiatives, Dr. Saeed aims to contribute to the advancement of aerospace technology and address pressing challenges in the field
