Overview
Chris is a Senior Lecturer in Sports Development at the University of Hertfordshire in the UK.
Chris completed a PhD at the University of Kent investigating the sport participation legacy of the London 2012 Paralympic Games for disabled people in England. His research interests are in disability sport, disabled sport spectatorship experiences, and sport mega-event legacies.
Prior to entering academia, Chris worked and volunteered with a variety of national governing bodies of sport, and has worked in different administrative functions within academia.
Chris's research interests include disability sport, Paralympic Games legacy, and disabled sports fan experience.
Chris is the founder of Disability Sport Info, a public enaggement project promoting disability sport. Chris runs the Disability Sport Info podcast that explores various topics of disability sport: https://disabilitysportinfo.buzzsprout.com
Chris is currently a member of the Fans for Diversity Guidance Group, a campaign programme run in partnership between the Football Supporters’ Association and Kick It Out.
