Overview

Daphne is a Principal Lecturer/Supervisor on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy). She is a Clinical Psychologist registered with the HCPC and an Associate Fellow of Advanced HE. 

 

Research interests

Daphne's research interests focus on understanding the experiences of minoritised communities, within educational, health, and professional contexts. She has conducted qualitative research using grounded theory and thematic analysis and is particularly interested in the perspectives of children and young people, as well as professionals from minoritised backgrounds navigating identity, belonging, and professional development. She also has an interest in perinatal mental health, including women's experiences of using continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) in gestational diabetes, and participatory research methods. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and she is committed to ensuring that diverse voices are represented in research, policy, and practice.
