Personal profile

Research interests

My research interests lie in the field of health and social care of minority ethnic communities.  I conducted a number of studies to examine the mental health needs of people from Chinese backgrounds in the UK.  I was involved in research study funded by NIHR, to look at the experience of social care of Chinese people with physical disabilities.

I was also involved in a project which was funded by Erasmus Plus EU grant.  The project involved working with three Chinese universities in mainland China, to support them to further develop training programme for agency supervisors (practice educators).

Other research interests include working with interpreters in health and social care settings, and practice education in social work.
