Overview
Emma is the Programme Director for the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology within the School of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences. She is registered with the HCPC, is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and a Fellow of Advance HE.
Emma has worked across a number of NHS children and young people's services in Hertfordshire for the past twenty years, including a period as a Consultant Lead Clinical Psychologist. She currently offers supervision into NHS services.
Emma co-leads the Professional Issues research stream on the programme, and supervises doctoral research in the areas of supervision, clinical NHS leadership and staff wellbeing including moral injury and compassion fatigue. She also supervises research on family, children and young people's mental health.
Emma is an External Examiner for Royal Holloway, University of London and Newcastle University. Emma is a National Assessor for the British Psychological Society and is also a member of the Society's Committee for Training in Clinical Psychology.
In addition to her doctoral training, Emma has postgraduate qualifications in leadership, supervision and systemic practice.
