Overview
Farzaneh is a dedicated research fellow at the Centre for Research in Topical Drug Delivery and Toxicology at the University of Hertfordshire. With a robust academic background, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering-Food Industries from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) and a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering-Pharmaceutical Engineering from University of Tehran. Her Master’s research focused on the optimisation of the synthesis process of chitosan-dipeptide bio particles for drug delivery applications.
Farzaneh earned her PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Northumbria University where she investigated nanosized pollutants at the air-liquid interface, focusing on interfacial tension and rheology. Her PhD thesis explored the impact of nanoparticles of various shapes and sizes on a phospholipid as a synthetic model of lung surfactant.
With four years of experience in technical and regulatory affairs in the pharmaceutical industry in Iran, Farzaneh brings a wealth of practical knowledge to her current role. Her research interests include interfacial sciences, emulsions, colloids, surfactants, viscoelasticity, nanoparticles, and formulation science.
Currently, Farzaneh is engaged in developing innovative pharmaceutical formulations for topical drug delivery. Her work aims to create formulations that not only enhance drug delivery efficiency but also minimize environmental impact. Through her research, Farzaneh is committed to advancing the field of pharmaceutical sciences and contributing to sustainable healthcare solutions.
