Personal profile

Overview

I am a Senior Lecturer in TESOL/ELT and also the Programme Leader for the MA TESOL.

Since beginning my journey as a researcher 10 years ago with my doctorate where I investigated international students' learning and transition experiences using narrative inquiry, my subsequent research has developed the use of narrative inquiry.  Remaining in the field of TESOL/ELT it now includes early career ELT teachers resilience and has expanded to refugees' resilience as well as continuing to research students' experiences of studying.

In addition I am interested in the role of autoethnography as "the other side" to the narrative inquiry coin.
