Co-producton of COVID-19 Resources for People with a Learning Disability

Overview

Helena has recently been working on two project with people with learning disabilities; the CAREVIS Project 'Beyond Words: Co-creation And Evaluation of a Visual REsource to support COVID-19 Vaccine uptake in people with Intellectual DisabilitieS' working with the charity 'Books Beyond Words' - Funded by the Royal College of Nursing Foundation. This has led to further funding from Hertfordshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust to explore the communication needs of those with a learning disability who have symptoms of Long-COVID.

Previously, Helena worked in CRIPACC on two CLAHRC EOE projects from the PPI Theme from September 2014; 'IMPRESS' and 'Completing the Feedback Cycle'.

Helena was awarded a PhD studentship from the University West of England for her Thesis 'Meeting Food Hygiene Challenges in Older People: Meeting Health Assets for Health Promotion'. Awarded February 2016
