Overview

Jess is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Research in Public Health and Community Care (CRIPACC), which is part of the School of Health and Social Work (HSK) at the University of Hertfordshire.

Her research focuses on ways to involve citizens in food research and food policies that promote healthier and more sustainable diets.

Jess's current research includes work on the SALIENT project, which is exploring how changes to various parts of the food system (including retail, community and catering sectors) can improve diet. Specifically, Jess works with public involvement groups who provide feedback and input on the various food systems interventions within SALIENT.
