Research interests

Lida is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Research in Public Health and Community Care (CRIPACC). She is the Programme Coordinator of the Social Care Research Capacity Development Programme (ASCENT). Her work focuses on the implementation, coordination and evaluation of the programme.

Her research interests are in the field of health and care research, and specifically in the areas of mental healthcare, social care, and research capacity building. 

She was a Researcher in Residence in adult social care services, hosted by the Hertfordshire County Council. The RiR post was part of the Social Care Research in Practice Teams (SCRIPT) Project, co-led by Prof Kathryn Almack (University of Hertfordshire) and Prof Eneida Mioshi (University of East Anglia).

Lida’s first post-doctoral post was at the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT), where her work focused on the evaluation of complex interventions in community mental healthcare. Prior to this, she worked as a Research Assistant at the Anna Freud Centre and University College London (UCL) and participated in the evaluation of children and young people’s mental healthcare.

Lida completed her PhD at Anglia Ruskin University (UK) studying the potential of knowledge management approaches for improving mental healthcare services. Before moving to academia, Lida worked in the Netherlands and Greece in public and non-profit organisations. She holds a Masters in Creative and Media Enterprises (University of Warwick, UK) and a Bachelors in Sociology (Panteion University, Greece). 

Lida welcomes knowledge sharing opportunities with researchers, policymakers and practitioners that can enable cross-fertilisation and development of solutions to improve health and care provision in the UK and internationally.
