Overview

Dr. Lorena Sanchez Tyson is a Senior Lecturer in Education at the University of Hertfordshire's School of Law and Education. Her research focuses on education and international development, particularly in Indigenous contexts in Latin America, addressing issues of access, equity, social justice, and sustainability.

An Associate Fellow of Advance HE, Dr. Sanchez Tyson has extensive teaching experience in areas such as education and globalisation, gender and international development, and qualitative research methods. She currently teaches on both the BA and MA Education programmes.

Prior to her current position, Dr. Sanchez Tyson served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oxford, a Research Fellow and Senior Postgraduate Teaching Assistant at University College London, and an Associate Tutor at the University of Warwick. Her work has been published in journals such as Comparative Education, London Review of Education, and Changing English.
