Overview
Assoc Prof Mohammad Reza Herfatmanesh is the research lead for "Advanced Powertrain" and "Energy Harvesting and Storage" laboratories in the School of Physics, Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Hertfordshire. He gained his BEng (Hons) and PhD from Brunel University London. He joined University of Hertfordshire in 2013 and prior to that he was a post-doctoral research fellow at Brunel University until 2013. His research is particularly focused on low carbon energy systems and his work has led to EU and US patents. Reza has been the Principal Investigator (PI) and Lead Engineer (LE) of several externally funded projects with a total value of over £1milion. Reza has project managed several internal/external research and commercial projects, including academic supervision of a KTP project, PI and project manager of a large Innovate UK and APC project (Total project value £10milion), PI/LE of five commercial projects and LE of an EPSRC project. Reza has several publications in various high impact journals and nationally/internationally recognised conferences.
