Overview
Dr. Na Helian has 30 years research experience around UK, Singapore, Japan and China in data mining, grid computing, data storage, etc. She has 62 journal papers (including 16 in IEEE Transactions) and 54 conference proceeding papers published in the above areas. Her research background on data storage contributed to the following research funding: EPSRC project (GR/S96487): Grid-Oriented Storage (GOS): Next Generation Data Storage System Architecture for the Grid Computing Era,£346,301, plus £381,930 by DTI (Department of Trade and Industry)/Xyratex.
Over the past few years, Na Helian’s research has been focused on data mining. She has been working on various industry collaborating projects, including six KTPs, one KEEP+, one HKEP projects, as well as a few contract research project, University Enterprise Zone Technical Consultancy and Meet Expert projects. Since March 2017, she has attracted over £2 million funding in total.
