Professor of Clinical Nursing:
University of Hertfordshire/East and North Herts NHS Trust (Substantive Appointment University of Hertfordshire. Funded 50% by NHS to work in clinical academic capacity – appointed 2017). Experienced researcher and critical care/cancer nurse working as a clinical academic since 2004.
Key subject areas: programme of critical care supportive care research, using mixed methods research, qualitative (including rapid techniques) and co-design approaches. Focus on critical care at end of life/bereavement, critical care workforce/staffing, recovery, and outreach. Leading research from a strong background in building research capacity, developing practice-based research and implementing research into practice. Committed to the promotion of applied health research, public involvement and person-centred research.
Clinical lead for critical care recovery clinic service at ENHT/RM (since 2010 to current). Trust lead for Public Involvement in Research at ENHT/RM (since 2010 to current) and Lead for Nursing/AHP Research at ENHT (since 2017).
