Dr Nic Aaron

Nic's research is framed through their feminist abolitionist approach that sees the end of sexual violence as inextricable with the end of state violence. Their PhD was concerned with understanding and upending the ways in which carceral and institutional violence are reproduced and entrenched, drawing on feminist, queer, crip, trans and critical race theory. They are currently working on a monograph entitled "Sexually Violent Figures: Dismantling Gender Binaries and Carceral Logics" for the Routledge Transformation Series.
