Overview
Nicola has recently completed her PhD in Criminology, which focused specifically on the area of youth crime and explored how young people who have offended choose to define and identify 'family' - specifically with regard to their offending behaviour. She is currently module leader for the level 5 optional youth justice and crime module, and is also module leader for the level 4 core module 'understanding crime through media'. She has supervised a number of level 6 dissertation projects within the area of youth justice and crime. She is developing a new module on green criminology.
