Overview
Dr Phil Mason is Head of the Strategic Management at Hertfordshire Business School. As an academic manager he oversees Executive Leadership programmes including the school's AMBA accredited MBA, and MScs in Business Organisation and Strategy and Public Service Management.
As a member of the Managing Complex Change research theme, his research, consultancy and teaching interests surround strategic management, leadership, process, governance, policy, public services and Higher Education. He is particularly interested in relational sociology and it's application to organisation and policy implementation.

Dr Mason is interested in exploring consultancy and research projects focussed on strategic and leadership themes arising across a diverse range of contexts. He also works closely with a number of schools and educational bodies, bridging research, teaching, professional and volunteer roles and interests. He works in collaboraiton with a number of educational and charitable bodies, as well as regional business groups and partnerships. Dr Mason serves as the University of Hertfordshire's representative Director on the West Herts Free School Multi-Academy Trust.
