Overview

I graduated with a BSc (Hons) degree in Biochemistry & Microbiology from Queen Mary, London, before studying for an MSc in Molecular Modelling and Bioinformatics at Birkbeck College, London. After 2.5 years as a Scientific Programmer with the CCP4 group at Daresbury Laboratory in Cheshire, I came back to Birkbeck College to study for a PhD in Structural Biology under Professor Nicholas Keep. I then spent nearly 6 years as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Liverpool working on various projects with Professor Lu-Yun Lian, Dr. Roger Barraclough and Professor Alan Morgan. I joined the University of Hertfordshire in 2013 as a Lecturer in Biochemistry, and continue to work on a variety of research projects involving protein biochemistry and structural biology.
