Dr Rasha Abdelsalam Elshenawy is a Senior Lecturer and international expert in Antimicrobial Stewardship at the University of Hertfordshire, leading research that directly informs global health policy across 55+ countries.

As Consultant in Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and Stewardship (AMS) for the South Centre, Geneva, she develops policy frameworks reaching United Nations member states and collaborates with the World Health Organisation  on antimicrobial stewardship implementation. Her GUIDE Framework for Evidence-Based Antibiotic Prescribing is being adopted across multiple countries through WHO partnerships.

research expertise, she serves as Associate Editor for JAC-Antimicrobial Resistance and has provided written evidence to the UK Parliament Science, Innovation and Technology Committee on antimicrobial resistance policy.
