Overview
Dr. S. Özer is an interdisciplinary housing researcher whose work investigates the systematisation of architectural knowledge. He is interested in how architectural knowledge is understood and evidenced, how it is formalised and communicated through policy, education, and public discourse, how it is applied in practice, and the outcomes these processes produce in the built environment. His previous research has examined housing space standards and design regulation, while his current work focuses on fire safety and carbon reduction in the built environment.
