Overview
Dr. Somayeh Pouransari began her research journey by pursuing a PhD that focused on the impact of HRIS on staff retention. While she was an active researcher, she also worked as a research assistant on various projects, which strengthened her abilities in both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
Starting from September 2021, she has been working with the Health Economics Research Group at London Metropolitan University on a project funded by UNICEF. The project investigates factors associated with COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy and compliance with COVID-19 non-pharmaceutical interventions. The outcomes of this project were published in 2022.
Additionally, she collaborated with a colleague at Brunel University on a project aimed at saving energy with a focus on timetabling management. She has been actively involved in data collection and turning the project into practice, which won the entrepreneurship prize at Brunel University. As the project focused on educational buildings and revealed a 30% reduction in energy consumption, the outcomes were interesting for relevant organizations.
Since July 2022, she has joined the Education (Teaching, Learning and Assessment) for Social Justice and Sustainable Learning and Development Research Group (RILEAS) and GEDI Research groups in London Metropolitan University, and has been involved in active research projects at different stages.
