Overview

Steven is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Public Health and Community Care (CRIPACC) at the University of Hertfordshire, specialising in place-based ageing research. His work focuses on the health and wellbeing of individuals living with or supporting someone with long-term conditions in the community. He is currently involved in the DiTSoW project (Digital Technologies to support Social Wellbeing for community dwelling older adults), which is situated within the National Priorities programme for Adult Social Care Social Work.  In collaboration with Cardiff University and the University of Kent, Steven is also pursuing funding to establish an expert by experience group comprised of underserved older men caring for partners with long-term conditions. This project aims to better understand their experiences with community-based support. Previously, Steven worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Exeter, contributing to the ENLIVEN project. This cross-institutional, multi-partner programme focused on co-producing dementia-friendly innovations in the visitor economy.
