Non-profit management and business history. Having worked in the heritage sector for 30 years Dr Davies has a particular interest in how museums and archives are managed. Her current research focuses on performance indicators in the non-profit cultural heritage sector.
Dr Davies teaches undergraduate and postgraduate students at the Business School.
She is supervising a DHeritage student, Sarah Buckingham, whose thesis is 'A Reconsideration of Principles and Practice in Major Interventions to Rehabilitate Hertage Sites'.
Dr Davies occassionally works as a freelancer in the heritage sector. Her most recent piece of work was for SHARE Museums East and produced the 'Data Driven Museums' report and this 5 minute video about key peformance indicators in museums - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=06_oZWCCM64
