Dr. Syed Mudassir Hussain is working as a Lecturer in Electronic Engineering, at the School of Physics, Engineering and Computer Science, University of Hertfordshire, UK.  Dr. Mudassir has more than 11 years of experience in teaching and research. Previously, he has worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering, BUITEMS, Pakistan. He has been recognized by Higher Education Commission Pakistan as an approved Ph.D. supervisor. 

Dr. Mudassir completed his Ph.D. at the Institute of Microelectronics, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. During his Ph.D. he was working on a project for the design and optimization of a visually assisted smart trail for the hip joint arthroplasty. He has published more than 14 research papers in reputable journals and conferences. Additionally, he received the best paper presentation award of the session for two papers he presented at international conferences. He has been involved in a joint consortium of European Union funded project as a project legal signatory and ICT expert. 

Dr. Mudassir was a member of National Electronics Policy 2022 formulation group under the Ministry of Science and Technology of Pakistan. He has been a trainer/ resource person for the HRD professional training program on outcome based education (2021), at BUITEMS, Pakistan. He was also involved in organizing international conferences at BUITEMS, Pakistan.
