Overview
I am a Senior Lecturer on the University of Hertfordshire's Doctorate in Clinical Psychology course.
Within my role, I am a clinical tutor, placement co-ordinator, module leader, lecturer on the General Clinical Competencies module, and a clinical supervisor. I also undertake projects to assist in service development.
I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist with experience working in the third sector, NHS, and MOD and I often works as a guest lecturer with a London based University.
Research interests
As a Psychologist, my research interests are in areas such as cultural psychology, service development, and professional standards and well-being. However, my specialist interests are in trauma, the armed forces, and male psychology.
I supervise clinical doctorate trainees pursuing research in my areas of interest and/or my areas of knowledge and experience.
Current projects focus on:
- Social anxiety among University students
- The narratives of individuals with myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS)
