Dr. Vijayakumar Gali is a distinguished academic and researcher, currently serving as a Senior Lecturer in the School of Physics, Engineering, and Computer Science at the University of Hertfordshire (UH), UK Since June 2024. He holds a master's degree from the Government College of Engineering, Kannur, India, earned in 2013, and a Ph.D. from the Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur, India, completed in 2019.

Dr. Gali's expertise lies in the fields of power electronics and renewable energy. Before joining UH, he served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Nazarbayev University, Kazakhstan, from November 2021 to June 2024, within the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. During this tenure, he led a significant research project titled “Dynamic Energy Management in Smart Distribution Systems,” which focused on optimizing energy distribution and enhancing the resilience of smart grids.

As a prolific researcher, Dr. Gali has authored in reputed research articles and conference papers, contributing extensively to advancements in power electronics and renewable energy technologies. His current research interests include developing digital twin models for smart power distribution grids, automating distribution systems, enhancing power system resilience, and exploring power electronics applications in renewable energy systems. In addition to his academic and research achievements, Dr. Gali is recognized for his leadership in research projects and his contributions to the evolving field of smart microgrids. His work continues to influence the development of sustainable and resilient energy systems globally.
