Project Details
Description
Network Security is a subset of Cyber Security; its role is to protect an IT infrastructure from cyber threats. This can be implemented by using various devices and techniques such as firewalls, antivirus software as well as intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
In recent years though there have been developments in the area of Quantum computing that can compromise our standard security models and methods in the future. This research aims to build a testbed and create novel models for providing quantum level security not by using the traditional encryption model which is based in artificial “random” number generation but by using quantum ones based on photonics.
