Description
The African PhD Scholars Network will launch a professionally produced podcast series featuring accomplished academics of African heritage sharing authentic PhD journey narratives. Through 12 episodes in Season 1, we'll address documented barriers to doctoral completion - isolation, absence of relatable role models, and navigational knowledge gaps that disproportionately affect underrepresented scholars.
Target audiences include prospective and current PhD students of African heritage globally, doctoral supervisors, and institutions supporting diverse cohorts. The project translates existing research on PhD equity into freely accessible, engaging content, creating a permanent digital resource that democratizes insider knowledge about doctoral success across 50+ countries.
