Project: Research

Project Details

Description

We want to test a 90-minute weekly facilitated group learning program over 12 sessions called The BodyMind Approach (TBMA) to support students with overwhelming stress/anxiety to self-manage and reduce symptoms in two universities in England (Newcastle and Hertfordshire/UH). TBMA is includes mindful movement, breathing exercises, relaxation techniques and arts/creativity to support the self-management of stress levels by raising awareness of sensations experienced in the body. This is important as we know a lack of awareness in the body has a negative effect on mood and increases stress and anxiety
