Description
At Home – Peer Ambassadors and Mohammed Z. Rahman is a research-led community engagement initiative involving a series of workshops and events and culminating in a publication, co-produced with and for young people, at Peer Gallery in Hoxton, East London. The project brings together Dr. Matthew Holman’s scholarship on public murals, social practice art, and cultural democracy with a thriving youth programme at Peer Gallery. At Home focuses on a major new mural on the historic Arden estate and is designed to foster debate and dialogue on the aesthetic and social function of public works projects, historically and in the present.
