Before these Walls: How Women End Up in Prison.

Many women are serving prison sentences because there is no contextualisation of why they commit the crimes they do. In a series of interviews with serving prisoners, prison governors, academics and hopefully the prison minister himself we would hope that the film would provide that contextualisation. The film will include a cross range of views in order to contribute to a national conversation.
