Project Details
Description
Project BELONG aims to foster more inclusive, welcoming and culturally aware leisure communities across the UK by co-creating practical solutions with members of male voice choirs, salsa dance groups and amateur theatre clubs. Through reflective diaries, interviews and collaborative workshops, we will explore everyday experiences of belonging, exclusion, language, culture and identity. The project will develop an accessible inclusion policy, alongside engaging posters and short videos, to raise awareness and encourage positive behaviour and respectful communication. By working directly with community members, this initiative aims to build understanding, reduce discrimination, and inspire lasting inclusive practices aligned with the UNSDG.
