Description
This project will create an interactive webpage that challenges the tendency to frame carbon reduction in housing primarily as a technological issue. Through visual, plain-language
comparisons of archetypal design examples at multiple scales, the site will show how ordinary design choices — such as layout, architectural form, and materials — affect both embodied and operational carbon. The project aims to build the design literacy that communities need to engage meaningfully with housing decisions that currently happen without them.
