Bifunctional complexes with bronchodilator and anti-inflammatory activity

Project: Other

Project Details

Description

The aim of this project is to develop ionically-complexed, and covalently-linked anti-inflammatory and bronchodilator combinations for the treatment of respiratory disorders such as asthma or COPD. Using an in-vitro superfusion assay bronchodilation activity will be assessed. The effectiveness of lead compounds will be examined in in-vivo bronchoconstriction and inflammatory models. The complexes will also be developed as a suitable delivery system and characterised for the suitability for administration in clinical setting.
