Broadening Responsibilities: Consideration of the potential to broaden the role of uniformed fire service employees

The purpose of the project is to consider the potential to broaden the role of uniformed fire service employees, based upon:

(a) the trials currently being undertaken by a number of fire and rescue authorities under the auspices of the NJC and

(b) similar work being undertaken in other fire and rescue authorities, most often on a voluntary basis

(c) a rapid review of available literature on this topic
