Connecting people and stuff

Connecting people and stuff' is the visual art equivalent of recording oral histories. Working with visual devices and imagery, the project creates the opportunity to share knowledge about objects and their contexts, and to share feelings by visitors of the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, University of Cambridge about the objects that come from elsewhere. The aim is to share knowledge and to embody in its very physicality the complex relationships between objects, their histories and the people who visit and care for them.
The project will entail collaborative workshops facilitated by Dr Alana Jelinek (UH artist-researcher) to co-create a site-specific mural and evolving graffiti-wall across the walls of the Andrews Gallery at the museum, where World Archaeology is exhibited.
