Project: Research

Project Details

Description

Creative Learning Abilities PartnerShips (CLAPS), is a recently completed, NIHR funded project that used creative methods with people with learning disabilities and autistic people, to find out what is important to them for their health and wellbeing. We collaborated with two community organisations - Lowestoft and District Mencap and Barnet Mencap – who support people with mild
to moderate learning disabilities and/or are autistic.
The main aim of this impact award is to further strengthen the research partnership established in CLAPS. We also aim to: 1) share learning from CLAPS, using accessible resources; 2) co-produce research priorities around health and wellbeing; 3) co-produce a new research application, based on the research priorities identified by Mencap members.
