The AutoTrust project, funded by a €750,000 award from the European Space Agency, focuses on hybrid 5G / SatCom connectivity software data switch with secure AI managed verification of data. AutoTrust is designed to enable fleet operators, as they become used to “always on” connectivity, to make correct decisions on vehicle maintenance and passenger safety from data received from their remotely monitored vehicles. AutoTrust’s data quality analytics within the switch will detect both data manipulation from cyber-attacks and data corruption from malfunctioning sensors, addressing fleet operators concerns around data manipulation and data accuracy. AutoTrust is designed to work with off-the-shelf 5G and SatCom hardware and the existing network infrastructure, so that a commercial product can be rolled out soon after project completion.
